Shillong, Aug 26: East Khasi Hills District Magistrate has directed all individual and institutional arms licence holders whose licences have expired to renew them immediately.
Licence holders must submit renewal applications in Form A-3 with required documents at Room 319, Arms Branch, DC Office, Shillong on or before September 20, 2026.
Possession of firearms after expiry is unlawful, the DM said.
Non-compliance will attract action under Arms Act, 1959 and Arms Rules, 2016 including cancellation of licence.
