Shillong, Aug 14: The Khliehriat Bar Association conducted its fifth general election on Wednesday at the District and Sessions Court Building.
The secret ballot was overseen by an independent committee chaired by Kerlang Ksoo, with Ridein Satein as secretary and Shimnika Dkhar as member. The committee ensured that the election was conducted in strict adherence to principles of fairness and confidentiality.
The newly elected office-bearers include president Miranda S Bareh, vice-president Aida Mary Nongtdu, general secretary Wandajop Sympli and assistant general secretary Rimeca Lyngdoh. Three executive members were also elected.
