In its continued drive against illicit liquor, the Excise Department staff of East Khasi Hills conducted raids in restaurants and stalls in the town and its outskirts where 41 cases were uncovered in December, 2022 wherein 504.750 litres of indigenous liquor and 214.343 litres IMFL were seized.
Twenty-seven people were arrested in connection with these cases under the Excise Act, a press release informed today.
