Bhoirymbong Community Health Centre received help recently from World Vision India to help in its Covid-19 response.
The materials were handed over on Friday. World Vision donated 18 hospital beds, 50 PPE kits, 50 N95 masks, 250 three-layer masks, 150 sanitisers and 250 pairs of disposable gloves.
“These hospital materials will really help us to cater to the needs of the area in terms of responding to the pandemic, especially the hospital beds,” said Dr Deisha B Rymbui, Junior Specialist and Medical & Health Officer, said.
“This response and support are as part of World Vision India’s fight against Covid-19 and strengthening the government hospitals in responding to the pandemic all over the country” Anjan Sangma, Project Officer of Ri-Bhoi Area Development Programme, World Vision India said.
World Vision India has started a project in the Bhoirymbong block in reaching out to the most vulnerable children, families and their communities.
The project’s goal is to create a better future for the children focusing on the issues of health, education and protection.
