A training programme on “MSME Innovative Scheme” for officers was inaugurated at NEHU campus here today.
The programme is being organised by the National Institute for MSME, Hyderabad for 28 MSME officers from various states of the country, which will concluded on October 14.
The scheme was introduced by Ministry of MSME to strengthen MSME’s ecosystem by developing innovative solutions and applications which will help them to move up the value chain.
The primary objective is to promote and support untapped creativity and help in adopting the latest technologies and methods in the MSME sector. The scheme is combination of Incubation, Design intervention and IPR protection initiatives to enhance MSME competitiveness and transform them as National and International Champions.
Principal Secretary GHP Raju who attended the inaugural programme as the chief guest stressed on innovation in routine official work and how to understand and connect with the needs of the society to support them for the improvement in the overall economic situation and growth of the country.
NEHU vice chancellor Prof. P.S. Shukla emphasised on the need for having close interactions between the Ministry, industry and the academic institutions for improving the innovation and incubation system in the country and promoting young entrepreneurs.
MSME, Delhi Satish Kumar highlighted on the different aspects of the MSME innovative scheme which could play significant role in improving the economic growth of the country.
NEHU coordinator Dr. Dinesh Bhatia spoke on how the government of Meghalaya is promoting innovation through the PrimeHub.
