A two-day teacher’s animation programme was held recently at Tluh Secondary School under East Jaiñtia Hills district which was organised by the All India Education Forum (AIEF).
The two-day programme which concluded on January 7 was held for the teachers of the school which was attended by the Convener of Meghalaya State Bisharlang Pyngrope as the resource person.
The first day of the session began with the topic of the teaching profession, followed by best qualities of teachers and the role of teachers in the 21st Century. Topics like ideal teacher, the importance of assessment, the effective methods for teaching, the different methods of classroom management and the preventive system of education were taken up at the programme.
With an effective means to interact with the teachers, Pyngrope spoke about the role of the teachers and their influence in the society. He asked the teachers to be the teachers of the 21st century and exhorted them to move further as teachers despite all odds that they confronted. He reminded them of their noblest profession, their call and their mission to be fulfilled.
