The South West Khasi Hills District Medical and Health Officer today conducted a programme where tablet computers were distributed to 316 ASHA workers and 15 ASHA facilitators to make their workload easier.
This initiative aims to enhance ASHAs’ efficiency in addressing health issues faced by the community as these tablets will be equipped with health related apps to enable ASHAs to upload, collect or report, access health information, track patients records and follow-up and also to communicate effectively with the healthcare providers.
The distribution programme was attended by Mawkyrwat MLA, Renikton Lyngdoh Tongkhar in the presence of Eson Khongrymmai, District Mission Manager (DMM) of Meghalaya State Rural Livelihoods Society (MSRLS), E. Tariang, District Social Welfare Officer (DSWO) and others.
