The East Khasi Hills Superintendent of Police (Traffic) has informed that stickers with allotted numbers will be made available to all local taxi and auto rickshaw owners from October 11 to December 17.
The sticker for such vehicles operating within the district is priced at Rs 150. A late fee of Rs 500 will be charged from those who delay in getting the stickers.
The owners and representatives will have to produce the original along with photocopies of the registration, permit, insurance, fitness, trading license for non tribal owners, professional tax, passenger tax, MLMTU and pollution certificates as well as a copy of EPIC /AAdhar or any other ID proof
The stickers are to be pasted on the left side of the front windshield of the taxi or auto rickshaw, the SP said.
