The Congress Party candidate for Mawkyrwat, Carness Sohshang, who is also the sitting MDC, has claimed that he has remained with the party because he could not be swayed by money offered by others.
Sohshang made the claim during the Congress’s Mawkyrwat block committee meeting on Saturday.
He said that he remains with the Congress and continues to contest from the same party because of his love for his people and not money even though many parties have come with an offering of crores of rupees to stand with them in the upcoming election.
