An inter-college quiz was organised by the Department of History and Central Library, Sankardev College, today at the college auditorium. Eight colleges from Shillong participated in the competition.
The competition was sponsored by the state government under the Chief Minister’s Youth Development Scheme, CMYDS 2023-2024, through the office of the Deputy Commissioner of East Khasi Hills.St Anthony’s College, represented by Kaushik Migom Pegu and Damaphi F Lamin, emerged as winners. Second place was bagged by KL Bajoria College, represented by Keneth Ralsun and Dondor Aryan Nongrum, while Umshyrpi College, represented by Saikat Dey and Rishan Nongkhlaw, secured third place.
EFP Lyngdoh, principal of Sankardev College, congratulated the winning teams and presented them with certificates and cash prizes of Rs 5,000, Rs 4,000 and Rs 3,000 respectively. The Quizmaster was Aahir Saikia.
