Sohra witnessed a maximum temperature that was 4.1 degrees Celsius above normal for this time of year, according to figures provided by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD).
Yesterday’s high was 27.3 degrees C, a departure of 4.1 degrees from the normal. Umiam’s high temperature was also measured at 27.3 degrees (+1.4 above normal) and Shillong’s high was 22.3 degrees (+1.5 above normal).
The IMD is predicting clear weather until Wednesday and Thursday when West Garo Hills, East Garo Hills, West Khasi Hills, Eastern West Khasi Hills, East Khasi Hills, West Jaintia Hills and East Jaintia Hills could experience some thunderstorms.
