The National People’s Party (NPP) today announced its second list of six candidates for the Jaintia Hills Autonomous District Council (JHADC) elections to be held early next year.
The six are Remdorkupar Lyngdoh (Saphai), Warmanship Shadap (Mowkaiaw), Dr Dashemlok Isniaw Kjam (North Jowai), Krison Langstang (Sumer), Aibor Hima Darnei (Saipung-Nongkhlieh) and Daiapherlang Lamare (Narpuh).
The NPP had released the names of 20 candidates on December 6 in its first list for the JHADC polls.
With 26 names now declared, the party has yet to announce candidates for only three seats – Muthlong Sohkymphor, Tuber Wapungshnong and Rymbai Khliehriat.
Polling is scheduled for February 21, 2025.
