The East Jaiñtia Hills Deputy Commissioner has informed that the rate of the RT-PCR test for Covid-19 has been revised to Rs 200 per test.
Test done at the entry points will be charged as per the new approved rate, a statement here said.
For those who belong to Below Poverty Line (BPL) households (Yellow & Pink NFSA cardholders) on medical advice can avail the testing for free at any of the government facilities only.
Furthermore, the testing slots shall be subject to availability and testing in private facility will be on payment basis only.
According to the notification, all those who have been identified as high risk contact in the containment zones and those advised by the Health Department officials, will be tested free of cost.
Any person (including MHIS cardholders) who desire to get tested with RAT/ RT-PCR on their own without medical advice shall approach facilities for getting tested on payment of the relevant cost of the test.
