A resident of Dingampara in South West Garo Hills has slammed the poor quality of roadworks undertaken by a contractor.
According to the resident, the Kalaichar-Gopinathkilla road project was meant to be completed by now by the deadline has flown by.
In a complaint, he said that the Hullukona to Josipara section was alloted to Aktar Ali, who is currently an MDC in the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council.
The complainant accused Ali of “neglect”, inordinate delays and, even when blacktopping is carried out it is of such poor quality that the road never lasts long.
A formal complaint has already been filed with the Sub-Divisional Officer but no action has been taken, the resident alleged.
