On the occasion of Independence Day, Raj Bhavan will be opened to the general public on August 15 from 3pm to 8pm, it was informed today.
The Deputy Commissioner of East Khasi Hills has also informed the general public that as part of the Independence Day celebrations, there will be a free cinema show at Anjalee Cinema at 10am and free entry to Ward’s Lake and Phan Nonglait Park (formerly Lady Hydari Park).
