As part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, a tiranga rally was carried out today by officers and men of the North East headquarters and 67th Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) from Polo to the NEEPCO complex.
The initiative was part of the celebrations and commemorations of Indian independence and was meant to invoke feelings of patriotism in the hearts of the people and to promote awareness about the national flag.
As a culminating event of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav ‘Meri Maati Meri Desh’ has been envisaged throughout the country. It is a tribute to the martyrs who have made the supreme sacrifice for the motherland.
The programme was attended by officers, personnel and their families along with the local population and concluded with the singing of the national anthem.
