Shillong, Nov 29: The PM Vishwakarma Exhibition 2025 concluded in Shillong, bringing together over 100 artisans and entrepreneurs from all 12 districts of Meghalaya.
The two-day state-level event was organized by the Ministry of MSME in collaboration with the Commerce & Industries Department.
The exhibition served as a vibrant platform to celebrate and promote Meghalaya’s rich craft heritage, providing artisans with direct market exposure, institutional linkages, and technical knowledge.
A government press release said that the event recorded over Rs 5.5 lakh in total revenue. This reflects strong public response and growing demand for local handcrafted products, it said.
Over the past year, Meghalaya has made significant progress under the PM Vishwakarma scheme, with over 14,000 applications, more than 350 awareness camps, and 321 artisans trained across multiple disciplines. The state has also strengthened credit linkages and expanded digital onboarding, it said.
The exhibition featured technical sessions on marketing, packaging, design, credit access, ESG norms, and cluster development – empowering artisans to enhance product quality, access new markets, and scale their enterprises.
