A person was today arrested for the alleged murder of a 23-year old woman found inside a car.
Rynsan Pde was arrested by Jowai police after preliminary investigation was conducted.
The semi naked body of the woman from Mukroh village in West Jaiñtia Hills district was found inside a Maruti Swift which met with an accident along the Jowai-Shillong road near Chahtngit.
Police said that the car belonged to Pde and further investigation is on.
Meanwhile sources said that two weeks back the woman returned from Mukroh to Jowai. She had gone to her village during the lockdown.
