The North Eastern Zone Cultural Centre organised a painting workshop and renovation of pavilions at its cultural centre situated in Assam, popularly known as Shilpagram.
The workshop started yesterday, and will conclude on October 14, in two batches of five artists from each state of the North East.
The first batch consists of students of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Meghalaya. The workshop is being supervised by NEZCC exhibition officer Vezwuso Phesao along with officials from Shilpagram.
Every team is required to create the artworks that represent the cultural heritage of their respective state. The young artists from Meghalaya are Ericson Majaw, Ferrando Mawrie, Shidalin Chyrmang and Fasterfield Ryntathiang. The state team leader is Raphael Warjri.
