Shillong, Aug 5: Members and representatives of the Meghalaya State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (MSCPCR) attended the North East Regional Convention on Child Rights held at Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh.
The two-day convention, which concluded on August 1, brought together state commissions from across the North East, including Sikkim, to discuss key child rights issues and strengthen regional cooperation.
The convention was inaugurated by Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu and concluded with the adoption of the Tawang Declaration on Child Rights. The declaration was ratified by all participating commissions and reaffirms commitment to inter-state collaboration to ensure children in the region are heard, empowered and protected.
MSCPCR said it welcomes the outcomes and reaffirms its commitment to work with counterparts in the region for coordinated action on child rights.
