Shillong, Aug 5: Mizoram Health & Family Welfare Minister Lalrinpuii visited Presidency University Bengaluru to mark the start of the new academic session, urging students to pursue higher education with curiosity, discipline and commitment to excellence.
Addressing students, Lalrinpuii said higher education shapes character and builds responsible citizens. She called on freshers to embrace learning and senior students to lead by example, stressing that perseverance and continuous learning are key to success.
Highlighting technology’s role, she urged students to use digital platforms responsibly and develop skills for a rapidly changing world. Calling India one of the youngest nations, she asked students to contribute to nation-building through knowledge, compassion and social responsibility.
The Minister toured the campus and lauded Presidency University for its inclusive environment and support for students from across the country, especially from the North-Eastern states.
Chancellor Dr. Nissar Ahmed, Vice Chairperson Dr. Nafeesa Ahmed, Vice Chancellor Dr. S.J. Thiruvengadam and Pro Vice Chancellor Dr. Vidya Shankar Shetty were present during the visit.
