A three-day All India Children’s Educational e-Content Competition organised by the Central Institute of Educational Training (CIET), part of the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) concluded at the North East Regional Institute of Education (NERIE) campus in Umiam yesterday.
The competition included a wide range of categories such as audio, video, and new media, all designed to encourage creativity and innovation in educational content. The event received about 700 entries submitted from across the country, reflecting the growing enthusiasm for digital educational content among students and educators.
The event highlighted the importance of integrating technology into education and provided a platform for young minds to showcase their skills in creating engaging and effective digital learning materials.
Over 100 prizes were awarded during the valedictory ceremony, recognizing the exceptional contributions of the participants.
Speaking to reporters CIET (NCERT) Joint Director Dr. Amendara P. Behera said the event aims to produce high-quality digital content to enhance both student learning and teaching effectiveness.
He said nearly 150 participants from across the country were invited to contribute, and a total of 70 award categories were established with incentives ranging from Rs 5,000 to Rs 40,000 to encourage the development of high-quality digital content.
The winning entries will be broadcasted on the Prime Minister’s eVidya Channel, launched by the Ministry of Education.
