Nongpoh, Jun 4: Mahatma Gandhi University (MGU), located at 13th Mile, Ri-Bhoi, organised a two-day free medical camp and voluntary blood donation drive for residents of nearby villages.
The programme, held on June 2 and 3, was conducted in collaboration with the Blood Centre of Nongpoh Civil Hospital and the Meghalaya State Blood Transfusion Council.
People of all age groups turned up to avail themselves of health consultations and medical examinations conducted by a team of doctors from various departments.
Twenty eligible donors also donated blood during the blood drive.
