Shillong, Jun 13: Education Minister Lahkmen Rymbui attended the valedictory ceremony of the student delegation from Telangana at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Shillong.
The programme was organised by the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Warangal and hosted by IIM Shillong.
The ceremony was attended by officials and faculty members from both institutions, including the nodal officers of IIM Shillong and NIT Warangal, along with the student delegates from Telangana who had participated in the educational and cultural exchange programme.
Addressing the gathering, Rymbui stressed the importance of national integration and the mutual respect fostered through cultural exchange among India’s youth. He pointed out that despite being a diverse nation with a multitude of languages, traditions, and cultures, these differences bind India together in unity.
Rymbui said that the student delegates would carry the experiences of Meghalaya back with them, enriching their understanding of its people and culture.
The minister urged the students to remain ambassadors of Meghalaya and encouraged them to share their experiences and promote a deeper understanding of the North East among their peers.
Rymbui called on the students to cherish their lessons, strengthen friendships, and contribute positively to their communities and the nation, stating, “Together, we can build a stronger and more united India.”
The event wrapped up with the distribution of valedictory certificates.
