Shillong, Aug 24: A Meghalaya tourist taxi was allegedly attacked by two bike-borne miscreants at Bijoynagar, Assam, on Sunday afternoon.
The All Garo Hills Taxi Association said a Maruti Ertiga (ML13A-8719) was pelted with stones around 3:04 pm by two unidentified persons who fled after the attack.
The taxi, part of a group returning from Guwahati to Tura and Williamnagar, had one passenger on board. No one was injured.
The association flagged safety concerns for inter-state taxi operators and urged authorities to look into the matter, while advising drivers to stay cautious in the area.
