The court of the Special Judge (POCSO) in West Khasi Hills has sentenced a man to ten years rigorous imprisonment in the sexual assault of a 13-year old.
Emanuel Marwein committed the crime in May 2017 at Sohparu village. The court in a verdict passed yesterday convicted him under Section 6 of POCSO Act, 2012 and imposed a fine of Rs. 25,000.
The court also sentenced him to two years imprisonment for the offence under section 506 Part II IPC.
