Laban Assamese Girl’s Higher Secondary School won the first prize in a quiz competition, ‘Quizzard’ organised by the Thrang Hok Rangad Academic Society in collaboration with Sankardev College here today.
The second and the third prizes went to Pine Mount School and Sankardev College Higher Secondary section respectively.
Altogether 10 schools in an around Laban area participated in the competition.
Principal of the college, Dr. Eureka FP Lyngdoh who was the chief guest appreciated the efforts of the society and encouraged students to participate in such academic competitions. She also spoke about how to bring about Shillong’s legacy and potentiality as the academic destination of the region.
President of the society, Banlumlang Blah in his speech spoke about the vision and contributions of Late Thrang Hok Rangad, former Minister and MLA of Laban and Melam K. Rangad, Secretary highlighted the aims and objective of the academic society.
