The Jaintia Students’ Union (JSU) has set a month deadline to the District Selection Committee (DSC), West Jaintia Hills, to conduct examinations for the advertised vacant posts.
Earlier, the JSU had raised the delay in conducting the recruitment with the Deputy Commissioner for the posts that were advertised since November 19, 2021.
According to the union, there are 92 positions that remain vacant in various departments.
The JSU has also urged the Deputy Commissioner to promptly advertise all remaining vacant posts across departments.
The union said that timely recruitment would not only create employment opportunities for the youth but would also contribute significantly to the overall development of the district.
