Jowai MLA Wailadmiki Shylla today visited the office of the West Jaintia Hills Deputy Commissioner to seek information on recruitment delays caused by the District Selection Committee (DSC).
His visit comes a day after the Jaintia Students’ Union (JSU) set a month deadline to the DSC to conduct examinations for the advertised vacant posts.
Shylla told reporters that job vacancies were lying pending since 2017. The posts include a lady supervisor, 49 LDAs, 14 Sericulture Demonstrators, four Gram Sevak and one Gram Sevika. He said the results of the examination conducted for the posts would be announced next week with an aim to fill the post by July 2025.
