The Jaintia National Council (JNC) has petitioned the Public Works Department (PWD) for immediate repairs to internal roads in the Khliehriat area.
The JNC yesterday said that roads in Khliehriat are in a state of disrepair and have been so for a long time, impacting everyone in the community.
Khliehriat’s internal roads have been in a terrible state and are getting worse with multiple potholes making it difficult for the people and motorists to move around and this poses risks to both pedestrians and drivers, the JNC said.
