ICAR Research Complex for North East Region observed the Outdoor Special National Swachhta Campaign today at the complex in Umiam.
The theme for the mission is “Waste to Wealth”. The motive of the campaign is to imbibe the spirit of cleanliness among the staff and the farming community. ICAR employees took active part in the campaign.
Addressing the gathering, director of the institute Dr. V K Mishra said that it is the responsibility of every individual to make the most out of the waste and utilise it to the fullest. The cleanliness campaign was highly successful in sensitising the members about the importance of waste management.
