The East Khasi Hills district administration has exempted home delivery of essential commodities and cooked food items and petrol pumps from the prohibitory order under section 144 CrPC subject to compliance of Covid protocols.
On Friday, the district magistrate has directed closure of all shops, establishments, roadside markets and roadside vendors from operating on Sundays within the Shillong agglomeration until further orders.
