The College of Community Science, Tura under the Central Agricultural University (CAU), Imphal conducted a two-day training for youth on promoting healthy lifestyle.
The programme was organised by the Department of Human Development and Family Studies of the college, which concluded yesterday.
The training was attended by at-least 15 participants who were taught on basic nutrition, health check-up, stress management, yoga and its benefits, and dangers of drug abuse.
At the closing function, Dean of the college, Dr. V Vastrad spoke briefly on the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle by ways of eating healthy, being physically active, and learning to manage stress.
A set of brochures containing instructions on stress management and a healthy lifestyle, prepared by HDFS Department Assistant Professor Dr. Narmada Hidangmayum was also released and distributed to all participants on the occasion.
