Following a heavy downpour lasting around 30 minutes, many public transport vehicles were stranded due to flash flooding that occurred at around noon today.
The sudden flooding, caused by intense rainfall, not only disrupted the movement of vehicles but also severely affected local shop owners, as dirty floodwater entered their shops, causing significant inconvenience and damage.
Border areas between Meghalaya and Assam were particularly affected, specifically in parts of Jorabat. The flooding led to major disruptions in public transportation, forcing authorities to redirect traffic and modify vehicle routes.
Dozens of vehicles, including buses and smaller passenger vehicles, were left stranded on the waterlogged roads as a result of the deluge.
