Miscreants broke open the shutter of a shop and took away groceries and cash in Nongpoh this morning, police said.
The incident was reported at 9 am at the police station by the grocer, Tuta Miah.
Police said the exact amount of the stolen cash is yet to be ascertained as investigation is going on.
Meanwhile, miscreants also broke into another shop named, Moonlight Studio. Finding no valuables to steal, the miscreants vandalised the shop.
