As part of the ongoing District Level Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, an awareness programme was held on Thursday at Kiang Nangbah Government College, Jowai, organised by the office of the District Social Welfare Officer under the theme, ‘A National Movement towards a drug-free India’.
The DSWO, Y Najiar, in her introductory speech highlighted the serious and growing concern of drug abuse, especially among youths. She emphasised that the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan is not just a government campaign but a collective national responsibility of every citizen aimed at protecting the future of the country.
She encouraged students not only to live drug-free lives and to become role models and agents of change in their schools, communities and society. She emphasised that their voice has the power to raise awareness, inspire and create lasting impact.
