Meghalaya Rajya Sabha MP and National Peoples Party state president, Dr Wanwei Roy Kharlukhi tested positive for Covid-19.
NPP spokesperson, Marcuise N Marak on Tuesday informed that the MP is observing isolation and has isolated himself and is taking care of his health. “He has requested that anyone who has come in contact with him in the last five days to keep a watch on their health and if necessary get tested,” Marak said.
Kharlukhi got infected days after NPP national president and Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma tested positive for Covid-19 last week.
Health Minister AL Hek said that the health condition of the MP is stable and he is asymptomatic. Contact tracing is being done and all high risk contacts are requested to go for self isolation, he added.
