Shillong, Oct 26: The Deputy Commissioner (Supply), East Khasi Hills has informed that Biometric Aadhaar Authentication (BAA) is mandatory for domestic LPG consumers to avail refills at regulated price with subsidy from October 1, 2026.
Consumers who have already completed BAA need not do it again. Those who have not must complete it to continue getting subsidised refills.
Authentication can be done through delivery personnel at the time of delivery using the OMC app, or by visiting the LPG distributor.
Consumers can also authenticate through apps — Indian Oil ONE for Indane, Hello BPCL for Bharat Gas and HP PAY for HP Gas.
Those unwilling or unable to complete BAA can opt for refills at market price without subsidy in 5 kg or 10 kg cylinders through OMC digital channels, subject to availability.
Consumers who fail to complete BAA will be blocked from further refills. Connections will be reactivated after successful authentication.
