The Office of Deputy Commissioner (Supply), West Jaintia Hills District has warned of strict action against use of domestic LPG cylinders for commercial purposes.
A notice has been issued to all proprietors of hotels, restaurants, dhabas, canteens, street vendors etc in the district in this regard.
“The district administration will conduct a surprise inspection, and any establishment found using 14.2 kg LPG domestic cylinders instead of commercial LPG cylinders will face stern action in accordance with the Gas Cylinder Rules, 2016,” the DC said.
