A petrol bomb was hurled in Mawbah (Barapathar) this morning at a property housing non-tribals.
East Khasi Hills Superintendent of Police Sylvester Nongtnger informed that the incident took place at around 7:30am.
Miscreants first pelted stones and then hurled a petrol bomb at the roof of a property that belongs to one J Lyngdoh, who had rented it out to non-tribals tenants.
Although there was a blast, there was no damage to property or injury. Police are investigating and Nongtnger promised that no stone would be left unturned.
