There were two new Covid-related fatalities recorded in Meghalaya today, along with 33 new cases and 26 recoveries.
The two fatalities were both in East Khasi Hills. Both victims were unvaccinated, the Health Department informed.
East Khasi Hills recorded 28 new cases, West Khasi Hills three and West Garo Hills two.
East Khasi Hills also accounted for 22, with two in West Khasi Hills and two in East Garo Hills.
There are now 271 active Covid-19 cases in the state. East Khasi Hills alone accounts for 194 active cases, West Garo Hills 20, Ri-Bhoi 15, East Garo Hills 14, West Jaiñtia Hills 11, West Khasi Hills 11, East Jaiñtia Hills four, South Garo Hills one, South West Garo Hills one, South West Khasi Hills zero and North Garo Hills zero.
In all, Meghalaya has had 84,150 Covid-19 cases, of which 271 are active, 82,412 have recovered and 1,467 have died from the virus.
