A couple was found lying in a pool of blood at their home in Kyrdemkulai village in Ri Bhoi district last night.
Police said, the woman was confirmed dead while the husband who is suspected to be behind the murder, has been admitted to the intensive care unit at Shillong Civil Hospital.
While police have not yet been able to determine the circumstances that led to the gory incident an FIR has been lodged by the elder sister of the accused.
