Celebrating India’s G20 Presidency, Akashvani Shillong in collaboration with St. Anthony’s College, Shillong organised a Conclave on September 1 at St. Anthony’s College, Shillong, where discussion on topics such as:- ‘Local relevance and importance of G20’ and ‘Up-skilling the youth for better prospects’ was held.
The panelists in the Conclave were Wankit Kupar Swer, General Manager, Meghalaya Basin Development Authority, Mark Laitphlang, Founder & CEO, Avenues Shillong, and Jacqueline Audrey Swer from PRIME Start-Up Hub, Meghalaya.
The students actively participated and interacted in the programme.
The keynote address was delivered by the Rector, St. Anthony’s College, Shillong, A L Jose.
In his speech, Jose stressed on the significance of India’s G20 Presidency’s theme – One Earth, One Family, One Future, which he opined is a message that binds us from within.
There was also traditional music and dance performed by various artists. An open quiz was also conducted for the student participants.
