The BSF Wives Welfare Association, Sector Tura, celebrated Mother’s Day on Saturday at the District Auditorium in Tura.
The event, attended by Puneet Sharma, wife of DIG Lalit Mohan Sharma, and fellow commandant’s wives, aimed to honour the selfless love and sacrifices of mothers, particularly those in BSF families who face challenging circumstances.
Initially postponed due to ongoing border tensions, the celebration was also dedicated to the soldiers serving in challenging conditions.
Sharma emphasized the importance of recognising the vital role mothers play in holding families together.
The event featured various activities, including cultural performances, games, a ramp walk, and prize distribution.
The wives of BSF personnel shared their experiences, bonded over common interests, and celebrated the joys of motherhood.
