A 25-year-old disabled man was found dead today, hanging from a tree two days after he went missing.
Bishnu Kujur, a resident of Pahamsyiem, Ri-Bhoi, was an autorickshaw driver. He was physically disabled, as he had only one leg, and went missing two days prior.
Locals found his body today and informed police. The body was taken to Nongpoh Civil Hospital for an autopsy and police are investigating as to whether this was a case of suicide.
