The youth wing led by president Marbud Dkhar said it began inquiry after receiving calls from job aspirants alleging money was being demanded through touts / middlemen claiming proximity to elected representatives.
One candidate allegedly told them over phone that he was asked to pay Rs 4 lakh and had already paid Rs 1 lakh. The wing claimed it has messages and bank transaction records as evidence.
Nongstoin MDC, Dr. Juristman Iawphniaw had even disrupted the contractual staff nurse recruitment interview on September 29, demanding a halt over alleged bribery and money demands from job aspirants.
