The Meghalaya State Olympic Association (MSOA) will be joining the Olympic sports community in celebrating Olympic Day 2023 with the fourth edition of its Shillong 10K Run on June 24.
The race will begin at 6:30am at the JN Stadium gate number one. It is open to those 18 years and above, both men and women.
The route will run from there to Polo Bazar, 4th Furlong, BK Bajoria junction, BK Bajoria School, PGT College, Shillong Commerce College, Shillong College, Don Bosco Square, Laitumkhrah Police Point, Laitumkhrah Police Beat House, Fire Brigade, St Edmund’s School, Dhankheti, Malki Point, Barik Point, Civil Hospital, State Central Library, Meghalaya Secretariat, Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Governor’s House, Ward’s Lake, Chief Minister’s residence, Hotel Polo Towers, Polo Bazar and back at the JN Stadium gate number one.
Winners will receive Rs 7,000, with second-placed finishers getting Rs 5,000 and those coming third Rs 3,000. Consolation prizes of Rs 1,000 each will be awarded to those who finish between fourth and eight places as well as the top five veteran (50-plus years) finishers.
