Auxiliary Nurse Midwives (ANMs) were felicitated by the office of the East Jaiñtia Hills deputy commissioner today to recognize and commend the exemplary services rendered by the ANMs in the district.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Abhilash Baranwal stated the ANMs have been performing very well despite difficult circumstances. He informed that the district administration will be undertaking repairs of sub-centres and also equip them with all the necessary equipments which will further strengthen institutional deliveries in the district.
Additional deputy commissioner, Jonathan Shylla highlighted the contributions and services rendered by Kijuhi Langstang and Manbhadakani Lyngdoh of Ryngkoh sub-centre, Leitmon Paslein and Agnes Syrti of Samasi sub-center and Nidamon Chyrmang ANM of Jalaphet sub-centre.
He said these ANMs have been doing a tremendous job and performed their duties to the best of their abilities to ensure that proper care is given to all expecting mothers and safe delivery of the newborns.
District Immunization Officer, Dr N. P. Suchiang and MO in-charge of Sutnga CHC Dr R. Toi were also present on the occasion.
