The Meghalaya unit of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), the far-right students’ group affiliated to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has welcomed the Union budget that was presented in Parliament yesterday.
State ABVP secretary Tengku M Marak said in a release today that the budget “highlights the Narendra Modi government’s clear priorities in various crucial sectors.”
Marak noted that the budget has allocated Rs 1.48 crore for education, employment and skilling, with Rs 1.25 crore specifically for education.
The ABVP Meghalaya state secretary appreciated this commitment towards education and the empowerment of the youth. “This allocation is expected to enhance educational infrastructure, improve the quality of education and expand skilling initiatives, thereby creating better employment opportunities for the young population,” he said.
