Shillong, Jul 25: Shillong will be one of the sites for fast electric vehicle charging points brought through a partnership between A Plus Charge and Ather Energy.
The partnership aims to expand the electric vehicle (EV) charging network across the North East, driving wider adoption of EVs in the region.
Under this partnership, Ather Energy will set up EV chargers at multiple strategic locations across the region, each site equipped with advanced fast chargers, integrating Ather’s charging capabilities with A Plus’s high-capacity infrastructure. The charging points will be powered by A Plus Charge.
The new charging points will cater to all LECCS (light electric combined charging system) compatible LEVs (light electric vehicles). They will be placed across cities, major commuting corridors and high-footfall locations to support the rapidly increasing number of EV users.

The initial phase will target key urban hubs such as Shillong, Guwahati, Dibrugarh and Siliguri. Further expansion is planned for Jorhat, Dimapur, Agartala and other major cities in the North East in the coming months.
